EARLY LEARNING CENTRE
ELC parents are invited to a presentation by Amy Lewis who is a
dietician (and a Haileybury parent) on Wednesday, 15 July, from 9.00 – 9.45 am,
followed by a morning tea. Amy has many
valuable tips to share regarding encouraging children to make healthy food
choices. She will discuss the difference
between 'sometimes' food and 'everyday' food and the division of responsibility.
I.e. that children choose when to eat
and how much and parents choose what to eat.
Amy has excellent tips to encourage fussy eaters and will assist parents
to unravel the mysteries of food labeling.
She will be available to answer questions raised by parents.
Progress Using EYLF
ELC parents and educators will evaluate children's progress
according to the Early Years Learning Framework during the forthcoming Parent-Teacher
Interviews. It's a time to reflect on
your child's progress and re-establish goals that educators can work towards
through the emergent curriculum. If you
are unable to attend an interview time on 21 July, please make an alternative
time with your class teacher to review your child's progress.
A Junior School Leadership Assembly will be held on Friday, 24 July. This will take place at our normal Junior
School Assembly time of 2.50 pm in Berthon Hall. Parents and friends are welcome to attend.
