In 2010, Haileybury became unique in Australia, presenting an annual fortnightly public lunchtime concert series. This free, year-long series, held in the David Bradshaw Chapel at 855 Springvale Road, Keysborough, is open to all members of the public as well as friends and family of Haileybury students, past and present. The concerts feature leading music students, Old Haileyburians and members of the music staff.
The Haileybury Chapel, together with the National Gallery of Victoria and the National Library in Canberra, houses a famous collection of stained-glass mosaic windows and other artwork by the celebrated Melbourne-born artist, Leonard French.
As one of the finest buildings of its kind in Australia, the Chapel is also known for its excellent acoustic, which is especially conducive to the performance of the classical repertoire featured in the concert series.
Come and be inspired by some of the finest classical and romantic music performed in one of the architectural jewels of south-eastern Melbourne.
