Our New Buildings Are Coming to Life

As demand for enrolments increases and our total cohort numbers approach 900 students, new facilities are coming online at Haileybury Rendall School.

As part of our ongoing master-planning and campus development, and after a detailed renovation in Term 4 last year, it is wonderful to see staff and students enjoying teaching and learning in our newest complex.

Building 8 had lain dormant and dilapidated since Haileybury Rendall School opened its doors at the start of 2018. The new building features 12 learning spaces, two staff rooms and boys and girls change rooms and toilets. The building has prime views towards the city and looks out over Hidden Valley Raceway.

Each classroom features the latest technology and WiFi settings and the air-conditioning is clean and cooling!

Years 7–12 Humanities classes and Years 10–12 VCAL classes regularly occur in the new facility. Our Senior School House Tutor Groups are based in the new building and I know our older students are excited that their special new lockers will be installed tomorrow and ready to use from Monday.

Our next ‘reveal’ will be the amazing International Boarding House, which should be ready for the School to use in early March. This 60-bed residence was provided to HRS as part of Haileybury’s initial negotiation to take over Kormilda College and once the COVID pandemic eases we will welcome students into our Senior School from across South-East Asia.

More excitement lies ahead as we continue our drive to be the best school in Northern Australia.
