Thank You One and All

Sincere thanks to the students, staff and families for the way we have worked together to ensure our campus is a wonderful community. I am incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and dedication to their learning, as well as the way they treat each other kindly and with respect.

Thank you to the parents for their steadfast support and assistance in making Edrington a warm and welcoming place for all. I am also incredibly grateful to all staff for their tireless efforts in providing an outstanding education for the students, and for their collegiality and their commitment to our School.

I wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season with family and friends and I look forward to seeing you in 2023.

A Night of Celebration

Speech Night was a wonderful celebration of the year. It is the first in-person Speech Night we have held in three years, and it was filled with music, ceremony and an acknowledgement of our students’ achievements.

Congratulations to all award recipients including the Dux of Haileybury College Alan Xia, Dux of Haileybury Girls College Angela Li, Dux Proximus of Haileybury College Vedant Gupta, and Dux Proximus of Haileybury Girls College Prisha Shantharahavan.

A New Year Beckons

Orientation signals the beginning of a new year ahead. What an exciting time for all the children moving on to their next stage of learning and for the new children starting their schooling adventure.

It was wonderful to meet all the new families joining our community on Saturday, 19 November. We welcome you and look forward to continuing our journey together. It was lovely to see the children interacting in their new environment and the confidence of the new Pre-Prep classes who are looking forward to their next chapter in school.

Thank you to the Haileybury Parents and Friends Edrington for providing access to the second-hand uniform sop. Please keep this service in mind for future purchases. This is a great and sustainable way to purchase your child’s uniforms.

Thank you too to all the families who attended our ELC Parent Information session. What a fantastic display of our ELC community and we hope you made the most of your chance to meet our new Head of ELC, Sara Hall, and your child’s educators for 2023.

Junior School

2022 – What A Great Year!

What an amazing year it has been! We have been at School for every single day and our students across Prep to Year 4 have had many firsts; walking across the stage to receive an award, incursions and excursions, and performing live at their Strings and Scrolls Concert.

Of course, there are also the many normal things that occur at School, such as playing with friends and learning face to face. We are very proud of all our students and the diligence they have shown in the classroom with their learning.

Thank you to our community — our parents, guardians, grandparents and special friends. Your support is invaluable to us. Thank you to all our staff at Edrington — you make each day incredible for each individual child at our school! We wish everyone a merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. See you in 2023.

Human Powered Vehicle

Congratulations to the 2022 Human Powered Vehicle team who had a fantastic week. Every student gave their all and Haileybury came fifth — the highest result the School has ever achieved.

We are extremely proud of the effort of the students and staff over the past four months. Thank you to all parents who travelled with the team and proved to be such a valuable support to staff and students.

Haileybury Parents & Friends Edrington (HPFE)

Thank you Edrington for your generosity. Your donations and gifts will go a long way towards making Christmas a beautiful day for families in need. The support of our community blows us away!

We have over 300 followers on our Facebook and Insta pages now! Thank you to all our new followers for jumping onboard. Tracy and I would also like to welcome Kate Haakman and Georgia Scanlan to the HPFE.

Kate and Georgia will keep you all updated via our socials about all things regarding the Edrington Community and they will help Di and Kelly put together a roster system for the Uniform Shop. If you have an hour to spare once a term, please get in contact with them so we can get a calendar together of volunteers for 2023.

Make sure you send Kate and Georgia pictures of your gingerbread house creations. We can’t wait to see them!
