Isabelle’s State Water Polo Call-up

The Spring sport season is in full swing and one of the sports on offer is water polo. Isabelle Angelatos (Year 8) represented Victoria in the Under 15 Water Polo Australia National State Championships on the Gold Coast (QLD) during the Term 3 break.

Congratulations, Isabelle.

Darwin Football Experience

During the Term 3 break, 17 footballers accompanied by Georgia Broadbent, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Bradley Hill, a proud Indigenous man and St Kilda footballer, set off to Darwin.

The purpose of the trip was to learn as much as they could about Indigenous culture through the sport of football. The boys were teamed up with Indigenous students from Haileybury Rendall School to form the Haileybury All Stars.

The boys had a full itinerary. Many of the moments involved learning about, and experiencing, Indigenous culture and the boys thoroughly enjoyed socialising with their new teammates. They worked seamlessly together to win the inaugural Clontarf Cup against the Clontarf Academy side.

Away from the footy oval, the boys thoroughly enjoyed the bush lunch they gathered and prepared and which included crocodile, magpie, geese, barramundi, worms, long bums (shellfish) and chestnuts. The students are looking forward to sharing their knowledge with their peers.
