Haileybury is proud to support the Bully Stoppers program; an initiative introduced by the Victorian Government.
The School was represented by Principal, Derek Scott and Year 9 students Rebecca Broadhead and Jake Britbart at the recent launch at Federation Square. Rebecca delivered a wonderful speech in which she talked about how cyber safety is an important issue for all school students and how we should each endeavour to be mindful about the content we display on line.
In 2012 Haileybury students participated in a documentary in which they discussed their thoughts on cyber safety. Clips from the documentary were shown at the Launch which was hosted by the Hon. Martin Dixon, the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Bullying is serious issue for everyone in the community and through Bully Stoppers Haileybury pledges to make a stand and lend a hand.
