Update on Bus Travel for Term 1A
Thank you to all families who responded to the recent Expression of Interest for morning and afternoon bus services, Your input has been invaluable in assisting us to review our bus services for the 2026 academic year.
We would like to provide the following updates for families utilising the morning and afternoon bus services:
Changes to Haileybury's Private Bus routes
In response to the Expression of Interest, some minor changes to Haileybury's private bus routes will be made. To allow for planning and communication with families, these changes will take effect from Wednesday, 28 January 2026 when Term 1 commences.
In the interim, there will be no changes to current bus routes during Term 1A, however changes and updated 2026 bus routes will be communicated to families in the coming weeks.
Purchasing Haileybury Bus Passes
Families will be able to purchase Haileybury bus passes after the 2026 Haileybury's private bus routes are announced at the beginning of December. During Term 1A, students can continue to use the current morning and afternoon buses without purchasing a Haileybury bus pass. Note: 2026 travel WILL require a new Haileybury bus pass.
Please be reminded that all students are required to tap on and off using their student card when boarding and exiting Haileybury's private buses. Students who do not have a student card can obtain one by visiting the ICT service desk.
Free Public Transport
From 1 January 2026, the Victorian Government has announced free public transport for all children aged under 18 years. This applies to the government-funded (PTV) routes servicing the Haileybury Keysborough campus. Please note a Youth Myki card will still be required for this travel. This means that until the end of 2025, students using the PTV routes must hold a valid Myki and tap on and off each journey.
