Haileybury Excellence Scholarships

Haileybury is proud to offer a select number of Haileybury Excellence Scholarships to support talented students and to recognise outstanding achievement and contribution in not only academics but also in leadership, community service, sport and the arts, both within and beyond the school environment.

Haileybury Excellence Scholarships are available for students entering Years 5, 7 and 10 in 2027 at our Berwick, Brighton, City and Keysborough campuses.

Eligibility

  1. Haileybury Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who are currently enrolled in Year 4, 6 or 9 for consideration of entry into Year 5, 7 or 10 in 2027.
  2. Students must be an Australian citizen or resident.
  3. Indigenous Scholarships are open to talented students of Australian Indigenous descent. When applying, you will be required to provide confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
  4. Year 4 students currently attending/enrolled at Haileybury are ineligible to apply.

Application process

  1. Initial application
    Families commence the process by completing an online application form which invites students to showcase their skills, experiences and interests in their study, leadership, community involvement, sport and culture. Please note that late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
  2. Supporting documentation
    Applicants are required to submit specific information and relevant academic reports. Please provide only the information requested for your application. Students who are invited to interview are welcome to present further documentation of their achievements.
  3. Assessment of applications
    Each application is reviewed and considered by Haileybury’s Scholarships Committee to determine suitable students who will benefit from a Haileybury education and who will contribute to the Haileybury community.
  4. Interview stage
    Shortlisted students and their families will be invited to attend an interview to meet with the Head of School (from their nominated campus) to discuss their application in detail, and to further identify suitability.
  5. Notification of outcome
    Successful applicants are notified in writing. The Scholarship remission is determined by the Scholarships Committee. Feedback on individual submissions will not be provided. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email.
