Applying to Haileybury

The enrolment process

We have made applying to Haileybury as streamlined as possible and applications can be made online at any time. Haileybury is a waitlisted, non-select entry, school. The waitlist order is based on the date of application, with priority applied to siblings of current students and children of Old Haileyburians.

We encourage you to apply as far in advance as possible and we accept an Application for Enrolment from the date of birth of your child. If you are looking to complete an Application for Enrolment for your child for entry in 2025 (all year levels and campuses), please contact Haileybury Admissions on +61 3 9904 6110 to discuss.

How to apply

  1. Complete an application for enrolment and pay an application fee of $260 per child to join the waitlist. The waitlist is ordered by date of application for a specific year level, year of entry and campus. Priority is given to siblings of current students and alumni.
  2. From 24 months before commencement of the school year, Haileybury Admissions will contact families who are next on the waitlist to invite the prospective student for an interview.
  3. Students will be invited to attend an interview with the Head of Campus (or delegate). For entry into senior year levels (Years 10, 11 and 12), students will be required to complete testing in addition to the interview as part of the enrolment process into Haileybury.
  4. If an offer is made, you are sent documentation to accept the position. Haileybury reserves the right not to make an offer to a family.
