Eton Experience

Year 12 student and Haileybury College Vice Captain, Michael Xing, has recently return from the United Kingdom where he took part in the Eton Choral Course.

As Haileybury's Organ Scholar, Michael was offered to take part in the prestigious course held at Eton College, United Kingdom. Directed by Ralph Allwood MBE, founder of the Eton Choral Courses in 1980, the course took place from 30 June to 8 July 2015.

Working with Resident Singing Teachers Nicki Kennedy, Miranda Wright and Samuel Evans, 60 choristers came together for a week of learning and performing choral music.

The course was hosted by Eton College and the students boarded on the premises as a part of the experience. The 60 choristers rehearsed each day in the exquisite buildings the College has to offer, and the entire experience as told by Michael was 'remarkable.'

Michael's personal highlight was having the opportunity to sing Evensong at St. Paul's Cathedral, London.
