School’s in this Summer at Haileybury

A five-day Summer School Skill Builder program developed by Haileybury will assist students whose learning was disrupted this year, ensuring they start the 2021 school year with confidence.

The online program which accommodates Years 3-8 students in Literacy and Numeracy and developed by Haileybury during the Victorian lockdown, will be administered by the School’s accomplished teachers.

The online program delivers remote learning access   and offers a COVID-safe bi-modal (in person and online) option at Haileybury’s City campus.

CEO|Principal Derek Scott believes the program is a wonderful opportunity for Haileybury teachers to support students around Australia that have found the changes in the classroom environment in 2020 challenging.

“Our staff led the pivot to online learning during this year’s lockdowns,” Derek says. “Haileybury was an early adopter in online education, with programs such as HaileyburyX, so we were well placed to ensure our students maintained their high standards.

With much talk about students falling behind during the pandemic, the Summer School Skill Builder program provides parents with the opportunity to ensure that their child is ready for 2021.

The Literacy and Numeracy programs are developed around NAPLAN domains and consistent with Australian Curriculum achievement standards.
