Celebrating OHA Week in Melbourne
What a fantastic week celebrating the Old Haileyburians Association (OHA) and the incredible alumni who make our community so special.
OHA Week features a range of fun and interactive activities for Pre-Senior and Senior School students across all campuses, giving students the opportunity to discover more about their alma mater and explore the many opportunities available through OHA membership.
Established in 1903, the OHA has been bringing Old Haileyburians together for more than a century through events, clubs, networking opportunities, programs and services.
We are incredibly proud of our OHA community and grateful to our OHA Council members, Chapter Ambassadors and Club Administrators, who generously volunteer their time and expertise to strengthen connections and help shape the future of the Association.
Celebrating our Outstanding Young Alumni
One of the highlights of OHA Week was presenting the OHA Outstanding Young Alumni Awards, recognising ten remarkable alumni who are making an impact across five fields of expertise: Arts, Business, Community, STEM and Sport.
These young alumni are achieving remarkable things locally, nationally and internationally, while demonstrating the values, character and commitment that inspire those around them.

We were also delighted to welcome Grace Laing (OH 2018), one of last year’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipients, who captivated our students with an extraordinary musical performance. Haftu Strintzos (OH 2018) brought the assembly to a close, sharing his inspiring story and words of wisdom with students and encouraging them to embrace the opportunities ahead.
Who should receive the OHA Medal?
Nominations for the OHA Medal are now open.
The Old Haileyburians Association Medal is awarded annually to an Old Haileyburian in recognition of exceptional achievement and service to the community, beyond expectation, in their chosen field of endeavour.
With more than 22,000 members of the Association, receiving the OHA Medal is a significant achievement.
We invite you to nominate someone who you believe meets this exceptional criterion. All nominations will be considered by the OHA Council, with the winner to be announced in February 2027.
