Thank you

As we come to the end of the school year, I want to acknowledge the hard work and commitment shown by our students. Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, on stage, or during events such as the Cross-Country Gala, STEM Week, LEAP Week and House Arts, our students have approached each opportunity with genuine effort and a positive attitude.

Thank you to our staff for the exceptional job they do every day. Their professionalism, dedication and care are central to the strong culture we enjoy at Edrington and make a significant difference to the lives of our students and to one another.

I would also like to thank our parents for their ongoing support. Your partnership with the School is very much appreciated.

As we finish the year, I hope all families enjoy a well-earned break. I wish you a safe and happy holiday season and look forward to welcoming you back in 2026.

End of year celebrations

It is always remarkable how quickly the school year passes. While our teachers know the children are ready to take their next steps, saying goodbye is never easy and so our ELC End of Year Celebration was the perfect way to mark this special moment.

Throughout Term 4, the children learnt and practised a wonderful selection of songs, showcased beautifully on the day. We are incredibly fortunate to have Mr Intilangelo whose passion and expertise in music enrich the experiences of all our students.

Our Reception and Pre-Prep classes each performed four songs, then joined together for a warm and joyful finale. The celebration also included a proud moment for our Pre-Prep students, who received their graduation certificates from Mrs Rawlings as they look ahead to joining the Junior School in 2026.

As we close the year, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated ELC staff, our wonderful students and our supportive families for making 2025 such a memorable year. I hope you all enjoy a well-earned, relaxing break with loved ones.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Junior School Christmas Concert

Our Junior School students performed beautifully at the end-of-year Christmas Concert. The Year 4s did an outstanding job performing ‘The Christmas Decorations’ showcase, and as always, our choirs were exceptional. It was lovely to see so many families at our concert, and I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for a wonderful year. Thank you for your support of our Junior School and the work you do with your children at home. We have had another busy year with a lot of learning and events for our students. We wish you a wonderful holiday break and Christmas.

Donations – Rotary Club Berwick

Our Junior School students proudly donated over 2,000 items of food and presents to the Rotary Club Berwick to aid families who are struggling at this time of year. Social Justice is an important part of what we teach our children at Haileybury; to help those in need. We are extremely proud of the community for the support it gives Rotary every year.

Middle School

Congratulations to all Middle School students who were acknowledged at our Celebration of Excellence for their diligence and effort during 2025. It was an outstanding occasion, celebrating the achievements of many students and celebrating a busy and successful year at Edrington.

As we reach the end of another exciting year in Middle School, it is a wonderful moment to pause and reflect on all that our Years 5–8 students have achieved. This year has been filled with growth, curiosity and a genuine sense of connection. From the first day back, our students embraced new challenges, strengthened their learning habits and demonstrated resilience across every subject area.

In classrooms, we saw students think more deeply, collaborate more confidently and take real pride in their progress. Beyond the academic program, involvement in sport, performing arts, House activities and community events brought energy and spirit to our school culture. Whether it was trying something new, stepping into leadership, or supporting a classmate, our students consistently showed kindness, courage and character.

Our staff have worked tirelessly to support each learner, and we are proud of the progress every student has made. Families, too, have been invaluable partners throughout the year, and we thank you for your ongoing support.

As we look ahead, we are excited for the opportunities that await our Middle School students in 2026. We wish everyone a safe, joyful and well-earned holiday break.

Haileybury Parents & Friends Edrington (HPFE)

I would love to thank you all for your support, kindness, time and generosity this year. We could not do what we do for our community without you all, so thank you to everyone who volunteers at events, helps in the uniform shop or provides support and a friendly face.

We also give thanks to the families that donated perishable food items and gifts to the wishing tree. These donations will go a long way to making Christmas a beautiful day for families in need. The support of our community blows us away.

A very big welcome to the new families joining our community in 2026. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year; we are looking forward to catching up with you in the new year.
