Snowsport stars take a bow at Mt Buller

Earlier this term, a squad of 95 students from Prep to Year 12 represented Haileybury at the Victorian Interschools Snowsport Championships at Mt Buller. The team’s effort was significant, and our students performed exceptionally well in a very challenging competition.

There were several outstanding individual and team performances including:

  • 4 x Individual Gold medals
  • 1 x Individual Silver medal
  • 3 x Individual Bronze medals
  • 4 x Team Gold medals
  • 2 x Team Silver medals
  • 3rd – Overall Primary Boys School points classification
  • 3rd – Overall Primary Girls School points classification
  • 4th – Overall Secondary Boys School points classification
  • 7th – Overall Secondary Girls School points classification

Unfortunately, the Australian Interschools Snowsport Championships was cancelled due to insufficient snow coverage. Despite this, we wish to congratulate the 46 students who successfully qualified for the National event! This is an incredible achievement, and we are very proud.

Congratulations to all students on their outstanding performances.

Michael makes the U/16 Victorian Soccer squad

Michael (Year 10) has been selected to represent the U/16 Victorian Soccer squad at the National Championships in Sydney early next month. The trial process has been run over the past 12 weeks in parallel with Michael’s academy training at Western United. Michael has had to juggle school sport and study commitments to earn selection into the squad. We wish him all the very best.

Water Polo

Isabelle (Year 9) was excited to represent Victoria at the 15&U Water Polo Female National State Championships in Canberra. Isabelle has worked tirelessly to develop her game and put in a strong performance in the country’s capital.
