Mooting Success

Congratulations to Haileybury’s Mooters for their success in the Bond University’s National High School Mooting Competition. A total of 104 schools from every state and territory competed in the university’s premier high school mooting competition. All Haileybury’s mooters, from both teams entered, received Advocacy Awards. We were the only school to achieve this, and one team qualified for the Grand Final.

A Brisbane school, Citipointe Christian College, was the ultimate winner of the Grand Final and Haileybury was runner-up. Our mooters are all exceptionally talented and special congratulations to Jonno Coman (Year 12) Liv Craig (Year 12) who was runner-up Best Advocate of the competition and Bhuvi Gupta (Year 12) who competed in the Grand Final. The Bond University competition celebrated its 30th anniversary this year and Haileybury is proud to have been represented in regional finals for at least half of those years.
