    1. Castlefield House

    Castlefield House is the symbol of the School's history.  When purchased in 1931 the property sat on 11 acres and had buildings that could be converted for school use and large areas that could be developed into sporting grounds.   Over the years Castlefield House has been preserved and today houses offices, a function room, quadrangle and classrooms.

    In late 2013 the Brighton campus opened its new state-of-the-art Early Learning Centre.  The new space features an innovative design and has been beautifully furnished to achieve the look of a natural play space.  The new building allows freedom in the programming, flexibility of the indoor and outdoor learning environments, and an increased sense of community.  This provides greater scope to what the staff can offer the children and families.

    Art plays in important role in all education curriculum.  The art rooms at the Brighton campus offer students large open spaces that allow the creative mind to flow.  Utilising natural light and large bench spaces, all the classrooms provide a place for students to be creative in the fine arts of drawing, painting and sketching or the more physical demands of sculpturing and constructing.

    As part of the parallel education model boys and girls learn separately in the middle and senior years.  The Boys Middle School caters specifically to the Years 5 to 8 boys and provides them with a space that is their own.  The boys attend classes within their area as well as utilising other facilities around the School such as the library, art rooms, gymnasium, sporting ovals, tuckshop and school hall.

    The junior Brighton primary school provides students from Prep to Year 4 with a fun and engaging learning environment.  All classrooms open out onto the quadrangle area where students spend their recess and lunchtimes. As well as their own specialised area the students also utilise other areas of the School such as the library, art rooms, gymnasium, sporting ovals, tuckshop and school hall.

    The Tuckshop provides all Brighton school staff and students with a wide range of food and beverage options for recess and lunch.

    The Castlefield Library offers the following resources and services: leisure fiction (print and digital), academic curriculum resources (print book and online/digital), academic research support, AV equipment for school projects, Digital/Information Literacy training/support, printing and digitisation services, student collaborative learning spaces, document editing and printing training/support, classroom spaces, reader advisory, school community event spaces, Makerspace sessions, timetabled Library lessons, Junior/Middle Book Clubs and  Information Literacy sessions.

    The Gymnasium is available for all students from ELC to Year 12.  It houses a range of sporting activities including, basketball, volleyball and badminton just to name a few.  Sport forms a large part of the Haileybury Program and all students are encouraged to participate in some form of sporting activity no matter what the age.

    The campus has a 20-metre indoor heated swimming pool equipped with boys and girls change rooms.  The pool is used by Junior and Middle School students.  House Swimming is a big event on the Middle School calendar with each of the four houses competing for glory.

    As part of Haileybury's unique Year 9 Program the girls have their own dedicated Pre-Senior Centre.  The Pre-Senior centres are located away from the Middle and Junior Schools to prepare them for their senior years as well as promote independence and resilience.  Much like in Middle School, the girl's classes take place within their Pre-Senior Centre, whilst still utilising the School's other facilities.  The boys and girls are encouraged to socialise in the common areas during recess and lunch.

    The Senior School at Brighton allows students to have a small-school environment while enjoying being part of the larger School at Keysborough.  Students who choose to continue their studies at Brighton for Years 10 - 12 spend three and a half days at Brighton and the remaining one and half days at Keysborough where they can pick up extra subjects.  All students in Years 10 to 12 are encouraged to complete one of their years at Keysborough to participate in the university style environment.  The Brighton Senior School features large light filled classrooms, state-of-the-art science laboratories as well as separate areas for boys and girls.  The majority of the classrooms open out on a lovely decked quadrangle which provides students with their own space to socialise at recess and lunch.
