The Wizard of Oz Jr

This week, we have our performances of the Middle School Musical, The Wizard of Oz Jr. These performances are a culmination of months of work from students and teachers and under the guidance of director, Candice Anderson, the students have prepared a singing, dancing, acting extravaganza that is sure to please audiences!

If you haven’t already got your tickets, you can purchase them through the TryBooking link here. We hope to see you all there!

Early Learning Centre

As a part of our School Readiness Funding, our children and families can strengthen their body safety knowledge through Body Safety Australia’s ‘Superstars’ program. This program empowers and educates children to understand and communicate their right to have full control of their own body.

Informing and involving families and communities in child safety and wellbeing is essential. Information about what children will learn was recently shared with families through a Parent Information Session. Thank you to all who attended.

100 Days of School

We love celebrating the 100th Day of School with our Prep students and our Year 1s love joining in the fun, too. Not only did our students look 100, but they also completed lots of activities based on the number 100. They sang beautifully at Assembly. It was a fantastic day!

Middle School

Music concerts

Our Music Captains, Sophie Kimm (Year 8) and Ryley Dang (Year 8) have been working hard to host lunchtime concerts to promote the great work of our Music Department. Last week, we were fortunate enough to hear solo performances from Ashwanth Franklin (Year 8), Sophie Kimm (Year 8) and Sarah Rather (Year 6). These performances are just a snippet of the talent we have at Edrington.

We are so proud of these students for the determination they demonstrate to prepare for these performances.

House public speaking

We held our House Public Speaking competition in Week 3 and were delighted to see so many students entering. Our topic this year was ‘It only takes one person to make a change’. We heard so many different interpretations inspired by Nobel prize-winners, celebrities and even teachers! Well done to all involved.
